Homelands
The City of Boulder and all of the buildings where Creative Nations develops work sit on the traditional homelands of the Ute, Cheyenne and Arapaho people. Every year we have a dedicated exhibit to artists of those tribes, giving them voice to share their art on the land of their ancestors.
Calls For Entry
Creative Nations is ALWAYS LOOKING for Native fine artists across diverse mediums to feature in upcoming exhibitions.
The "Homelands" art show is a profound tribute to the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute tribes, honoring their connection to their ancestral lands that now make up Boulder, Colorado. Launched in 2021 at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, the show brings a long-overdue recognition and celebration of the Indigenous peoples whose presence shaped this region long before its current identity.
