In addition to the work being developed, we’ll be hosting two panels that are open to the public:

  • Voices of Change: First Storytellers, An Evening With Native American Playwrights - Join us for a free panel discussion with the playwrights whose work is part of the festival, discussing the challenges of telling stories as Native American writers.

  • Around The Fire: A Journey of Indigenous Storytelling with Madeline Sayet - Each year, one seasoned Native storyteller joins us to share their knowledge with festival audiences and participants. This year, acclaimed writer/director Madeline Sayet will teach a closed workshop for the writers and directors participating in the festival, followed by joining FSF founder Marty Strenczewilk for an in depth conversation about her journey.
